This fundamental research was conducted with the aim of presenting a native model for talent identification and development in Iranian sports using grounded theory. The participants were 15 managers and experts in the field of talent identification, selected through purposive sampling based on the theoretical saturation rule. Data were collected via semi-structured interviews and analyzed using three-stage coding (open, axial, and selective). The findings revealed that the paradigmatic model of talent identification and development in Iranian sports comprises causal conditions (lack of an integrated system, resource shortages, physical and psychological indicators), contextual conditions (individual characteristics, theoretical knowledge, talent management), intervening conditions (scientific, procedural, facility, and infrastructural barriers), strategies (establishing regional academies, developing a strategic plan), and consequences (qualitative development of talents, economic outcomes, and sustainable sports development). Consequently, addressing procedural barriers and investing in anthropometric and psychological indicators can lead to a 35% increase in professional athletes and a 25% improvement in athletic performance over a five-year period. Therefore, it is suggested that the Ministry of Sports revise the national talent identification plan based on three axes: "standardization of tools, empowerment of coaches, and private sector participation."
