Abstract
This study aimed to identify barriers to the development of the equestrian vaulting sport in Iran. This goal-based research is applied and, by nature, it is descriptive-analytical and this research is a survey. The data collection tool was a researcher-made standard questionnaire with 36 items. The reliability of the questionnaire was calculated according to the mean Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.782. The study population consisted of all active athletes and coaches, officials of the country's sports delegations and officials and staff of the Equestrian Federation in the country, which numbered about 190 people, of which 122 analyzable questionnaires were collected and reviewed. SPSS26 and PLS2 software were used for data analysis. The results of exploratory factor analysis showed that the obstacles to the development of the vaulting sport in Iran are 36 factors, which were organized in the form of 5 components: economic barriers, facilities and equipment barriers, human and social barriers, managerial and executive barriers, attitude barriers and support of officials. Explains a total of 81.947% of the variance of the factors. Also, the results of the one-sample t-test showed that economic barriers (with an average of 3.92) had the highest and attitudinal and supportive barriers of responsibility (with an average of 2.21) had the lowest priority in the lack of development of vaulting in Iran. Also, the model parameters all indicate a good fit and confirm the research model. According to the results of the present study, it is proposed that to fix these obstacles and create a developed vaulting sport, with the "patriarchal" and "logistics", elections, experienced executive and professionals among the members of federation members and sports delegations were to be elected expert in the field of their work. These results can be considered by federation officials, clubs and coaches to improve the performance of athletes through the development of the vaulting sport.
