Abstract
Introduction: In order to measure the maturity of strategic alignment of information technology in the organization, it is necessary to have a tool and method. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of modeling the maturity of strategic alignment of information technology in sports federations of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Methods: The method of this study is a sequential exploratory mix that used semi-structured interviews with experts and experts as well as a questionnaire for federation employees to collect data. This questionnaire was designed and validated based on the variables known from the interview. Content analysis, the Delphi method, and structural equations were used to analyze the data, and finally, after modifying the initial model, the final alignment maturity model was confirmed.
Results: The results showed that out of the 52 known indicators that formed 5 structures related to the initial alignment maturity model, 39 indicators and 4 structures were finally confirmed by modifying the model. Thus, the structures of "technical issues and information technology", "management and authority", "organization, architecture and work processes" and "communication, participation and mutual understanding" constitute the model for measuring the maturity of strategic alignment of information technology in Iranian sports federations.
Conclusion: Based on the results, it is concluded that in order to increase the productivity of information technology and also increase its effect on the work processes of Iranian sports federations, alignment maturity measurement should be considered by managers and based on its results, plans should be made to improve alignment.
